1-4-3. And some signage

So I am making great progress on my next UFO or OMG (one monthly goal).  I dare say I might just finish long before the end of May, but I don't want to jinx it!  I'm also ahead on my reading goal, 19 books out of my goal of 50. I'm not counting books I've re-read, so the number is probably twice that.

To show more might give away the design.
The variegated is called peacock and is a soft yarn.
Quite pretty.

I don't eat steak, but Blueman does.
Thus was on the back of the bottle of 'sauce'.
They've removed the word steak from before the sauce.
The sauce has spoken.

Behind a series of chiropractors offices, probably forever, is this building.
I can't believe I never noticed it.

Hey, everyone, have fun tonight!

April's finished!

Well, the month is not finished, but the project I've been working in my "one UFO per month" list I'd DONE, baby, done!  I only started it last year so it's not been languishing a terribly long time but it's done! Several hiccups along the way but I think it turned out pretty well.  As though they were intended, you might say.

A lot of shades of lavender, not fifty shades, 😉 but more than two.  A couple different variegated ones too.  Knitting needles of the circular variety that were too small but we made do.  It's pretty, it's warm, and hopefully it will cover someone in warmth and prayers.

And for those who don't really care about craft projects, here are a few fun cow facts.

A series of randomness

A cactus shot while eating lunch. Pretty blooms.

I have heard this song several times.
All of a sudden, I realized I was singing the lyrics.
Alas, they were wrong.
God is on the move....not God is on the roof.
Why I'd have thought he was on the roof, I'm not sure.
I blame it on staying up late reading.

I started this in the afternoon Sunday and just had to finish it (with several breaks in between).
Oh my it was delightful.
But now I have to wait for the next one!

Hoping you see blossoms, sing a long when you like and find yummy stories.

Progress and home stuff

whilst Blueman was in the ER and hospital, I knitted.
I think this was about the amount I did while waiting. Might have been more.

Trimming edges. Felt like a lot until I took a pic

Later a few more joined their brethren.

Blueman is home.  Yay! I missed his little head. He's getting reacclimated and dealing with one diagnosis while waiting for another.

Dinner tonight. Pork chops cooked in applesauce, yellow rice and mixed veggies. Crescent roll to round it out. Was nice to cook for my man again.

Waiting

I am waiting on Blueman to come home. He has been away from home for six days now. He's in the hospital and getting tested on so many fronts.  Some things have been confirmed, some have not. He is in the best place but I still miss him. I want to fuss at him for not picking something up. I want to laugh with him over silly videos.

The boys know something is up, too.

Patience is not my strong suit.
But for now, I'm waiting.

Not as planned

I had a sort of plan.
Last week my illness stole my free time. No crafting, no sewing, knitting, nothing. I'm not sure I could have created if my life depended on it.

This weekend was going to be different.
And it was. Blueman went into the hospital with pneumonia. So the sewing machine sat untouched. I did manage about 30 rows on the lavender prayer shawl while in the ER. The ladies in the stitch group say it looks Easter-y. Well, it won't be finished by this Easter!  It's been fun to work on. I can't wait to see it completed. There will be about a hundred ends to work in, but that's a job for another day.

I managed to make a dent in some chores and tentative plans for handling the next few days.
Two main things didn't get completed but perhaps before work. Perhaps.

Stolen from another blog I follow.

Words of wisdom that my boss snapped in her doctor's office.
How true!
