A gift? Yes, a gift.

So my MIL is part of a quilt guild. I've considered joining one where I live but I don't know if I can commit to meetings, etc.  It is on the back burner for now but still in consideration.  I do enjoy my knitting and crocheting group twice a month. But it's weekends, Saturday morning. No after stressful day of work and to be quite honest, I am not jazzed about walking in alone for the first time.

Anywho, I digress.
The guild draws a name and the designee calls out two colors. Those members who participate make 12 inch squares in said colors. I got to choose the colors and I chose gray and white. Apparently there are truly fifty shades of gray!

I put them down to take a picture and something not quite unexpected happened.

The picture looks like I changed it to black and white.

Until a curious critter came in....

And felt my layout wasn't going to deter him!

I have so many ideas on how to pull these together....can't wait!
