One step forward...is still one step

I had hopes that I'd be able to get the blocks trimmed and a layout chose this weekend. And I assumed that I'd get some sewing done.

Saturday I found a few blocks were sewn with a seam allowance that messed up my size. No biggie, it's just a few, and I could easily fix those. Maybe six? Eight?  I was embarrassed to consider it was twelve. I'd only sewn 48 so twelve was a bigger percentage of incorrectness. Oh well, speed kills, even in sewing, apparently.

So today I put back together that which was torn asunder! And, umm. It wasn't twelve. It was 17!
A third! Wow.

I decided I needed a nap and then I'd get to sewing.

Don't drive drunk....and don't sew sleepy!

This is what it should have looked like....

But I found this fun fabric for backing. It's lighter than its photographed.

The jelly roll is black gray and silver so I think it will match fine!

I couldn't resist some fun fabrics..

And I have plans for these little beauties!
The yellows were from the remnant bin and half off.
Good use for my overtime pay!

I have four days to finish my project for the month. I'll post that crocheted handbag next time.
Hoping you finish your projects in the time you hoped to.

I am absolutely hypnotized by your fabric choices! I have a sewing machine that needs a lot of servicing, but it's posts like these that make me look longingly at it and think it's time to get cracking on it.
