If it's just a number, why do I care?

The best thing about having the flu other than the fact that you no longer wish for death or at least knock out drugs is the weight loss. I lost 8-10 pounds depending on which starting number you use.
However, my coworker advised me it was just water weight. (Mentally I karate chopped him in the neck).
I did manage, I thought, to gain it back within the following few days.

Imagine my surprise when, after a slow Sunday where I sat and snarled snacks in between snacks, I found out I was back down a few pounds. What? I checked in two separate scales, people!  So the answer to this is probably one of the following:
1. I ate less calories than I used. Bag of chips versus sleeping...mm no.
2. Water weight loss.  This could be. I didn't drink much but I refuse to believe I typically drink five pounds worth of water in a day.
3. Cat kneading broke down the fat molecules and then the heat of their little bodies melted it away as they slept on me.
4. Yeah, I got nothing.

The trick today will be to continue trying to get the number down and not eat the rest of the dove dark chocolate because, well hey, I lost a few pounds!
